All about
Georgia Snow

With over 20 years experience as a singer and performer, Georgia is equally at home singing and dancing in musical theatre, singing classically, and acting in straight plays. A USA native, Georgia graduated from the prestigious BA musical theatre performance programme at Wagner College in New York City where she studied under some of New York’s finest professors in acting, directing, singing, and dancing. Georgia performed on the main stage and also found a love for directing and musical directing while at Wagner, where she served as director for The Zoo Story, assistant musical director for Evita, and as musical director for The Cosmic Cabaret.

After college, Georgia was cast as Tzeitel in the 40th anniversary North American tour of Fiddler on the Roof directed by Sammy Dallas Bayes, former dance captain to Jerome Robbins. She also toured the USA with A Christmas Carol and Ellis Island. Regional credits include: Helena Landless in The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Snug Harbor, New York City), Tiger Lily in Peter Pan (KJK Productions, New York), Tessie in Gypsy, Peggy in The Taffetas, and The Housekeeper in Man of La Mancha (all at Fort Salem Theatre, New York), Janet in These Two Couples Went to Italy (Seven Hills Theatre, Virginia), Mrs. Webb in Our Town (Seven Hills Theatre, Virginia), and the monologue “Marks” in Talking With… (Charlottesville Women’s Theatre Project, Virginia), which she also co-directed.

In 2008 Georgia moved to Ireland to study for her MA in Directing for Theatre at University College Dublin where she studied under well-known director Patrick Mason and playwright Frank McGuinness. Her one-woman show See If You Like It, a cabaret exploring life’s big choices through the music of Stephen Sondheim, enjoyed a sold-out run in Smock Alley Theatre. Georgia was recently seen as Sigrid the Haughty in a workshop of the new musical Forkbeard and Olav: A Tale of Two Vikings (dir. Jimmy and Carol O’Byrne). Georgia performs in the concert series Broadway and Beyond with Hues Productions.

Since moving to Ireland Georgia has performed as Polly Greenjeans in the Irish national tour of Santa’s Magical Christmas, which she also directed and choreographed, as Mrs. Breen in A Play on Ulysses for Bloomsday in Blackrock (dir. Nastaise Leddy and Iris Park), as Marie-Claire in La Corbiére what (dir. Lianne O’Shea), and as Captain Hook in Peter Pan (Moat Theatre, dir. Lianne O’Shea).

Georgia is Head of Singing and Musical Theatre at the Independent Theatre Workshop in Dublin where she trains young singers and actors. Her students have gone on to study in highly acclaimed theatre programmes around the world.
